On the Beach

All great artists have high and low points in their career and On the Beach is up there for Neil Young. It’s been sort of lost in the vaults of time but was re-released in 2004 and is the perfect album to play when you need to seriously chill. We play it religiously when the heat is on.

The super mellow mood was due to Young and his fellow musicians consuming a homemade concoction dubbed “Honey Slides”, a goop of sauteed marijuana and honey that was much worse than heroin, much heavier and made everything ‘slow’ the hell down.

Those “Honey Slides” must of been the magic potion as this album is seriously an antidote to the mayhem of modern times. Enjoy!
