it’s friday!: jelly music

while it’s possibly very impractical in warmer weather, we’d definitely get on board the eclectic concept of noisy jelly – created by Raphaël Pluvinage and Marianne Cauvard, the noisy jelly kit gets you to create your own musical instrument with colourful agar jelly cones, domes and pyramids.

when placed on the game board, the jellies respond to touch with a variety of strange and wonderful sounds. We’re feeling a little silly this friday afternoon after watching this!

adolphe appia was a swiss architect and theorist of stage lighting and decor in the early 20th century, perhaps best known for his work designing sets for wagner’s operas.

appia used the evolving technology of electrical lighting to his advantage, rejecting two-dimensional painted scenes for strong, emotive three-dimensional sets, creating an effective mise en scene and setting a standard for future designers and directors to work to.

Hats are such practical things. They keep your head warm, protect you from the sun but mostly they just make you look that little bit more put together, considered.
