creative type: kate shaw
Artist Kate Shaw’s tripped out landscapes from her 2010 exhibition ‘Irrational Geographic’ are beautiful but also slightly sinister.
The combination of acid-bright, toxic colours with the molten, marbly textures of her ‘paint pours’ are like a lovely jolt to the senses.

worn well: the long skirt
Calf length skirts are perfect for spring. They are ladylike, but can also be pretty casual when they are paired with a loose knit or a front tie shirt

Chelsea Wolfe
Loving this track Flatlands from LA singer Chelsea Wolf. Her material with her band is best described as intense dark rock but we prefer her acoustic songs. Her voice is amazing!

We’ve recently discovered the beautiful work and colours of Henri Fantin – Latour – sometimes we live under a rock when you consider these have been around for over a hundred years – crazy!

Dry the River
Thanks to fleet foxes, has anyone noticed a total folk revival of late? Like with everything, some acts are good and others are not so good. Dry the River we found at the Burberry Acoustic website here are on the right side of good.
The video below shows how band posters can really be art.
